Hi and welcome to our message of the week podcast! Today's podcast is different. I did not share a specific message. We had a special extended time of praise, worship and prayer. And we were very privileged to receive video prayers from some amazing friends here and abroad, and we had some prayers from people in our church as well. We want to invite you to join in prayer with everyone on this podcast and lift up South Africa to Jesus. 

 

Our home nation, South Africa, is going through a difficult time. The third wave of the Covid virus has caused many to be sick and we have seen a rise in deaths. Stricter lockdown regulations have been put in place and is putting heavy strain on small businesses and our economy. And then on top of all this, we have seen unprecedented riots, unrests and looting in two of our provinces. There are now food shortages and further negative economic impact.

 

I want to thank Sean Feucht, Loyiso Bala, Pickard Henn, Johandré Potgieter, Nico Panagio, Retief Burger, Scott Lee and Ade Omba-Giwa their encouragement and prayers. And also a special thanks goes to Gawie De Lange, my father-in-law Ps. Neels de Klerk and my wife Aletté for bringing special prayers for our nation before God.
